Policies​

  • We do not allow pets to roam freely in the salon, all pets are kenneled for their safety and we do not allow for direct contact with one another unless they are from the same household

  • We do not groom pregnant pets, we ask that if your female is in the height of their heat we are informed in advance 

  • We quote 3-4 hours for all dog grooming services and 30-60 mins for all cat grooming services 

  • All dogs are required to enter the salon on leash and cats to be safely secured in a carrier

  • The pet is fit and healthy, Grooming which takes place on an elderly or infirm pet will be at the owner's risk. Grooming may expose pre-existing health\skin conditions for which Catty Canines Inc cannot be held liable.

  • It is recommended that all pets have their vaccinations. Puppies and kittens should have heir first two sets of vaccines prior to coming in for their first time.

  • In the event of an emergency, in your absence, you authorize Catty Canines Inc to contact the nearest Veterinarian and authorize the Vet to treat the pet as necessary at your expense. 

  • Payment is to be made at the time of service. Payment can be cash, debit, visa or mastercard. Our rates are based on the breed of the pet and duration of the groom. Nail cutting and ear cleaning are part of the service unless the process is too stressful for the pet or too dangerous for the groomer. 

  • Catty Canines Inc reserves the right to refuse service or stop a groom at any time for the health and wellbeing of the pet due to health, stress or safety of either pet or groomer. As well as for negative behaviour.

  • “De-matting" or complete coat removal will dramatically alter your pet's appearance. This procedure may expose pre-existing health\skin problems for which Catty Canines Inc cannot be held liable. 

  • WE DO NOT DEMATT! Matting causes bruising, pressure sores and hematomas. Catty Canines Inc cannot be held liable for anything pertaining to coat condition and removal of matting.

  • Extra Large Dogs are required to maintain 8 week schedules or less in order to be clients of Catty Canines Inc

  • All dogs (small to large ) and All cats are required to maintain 16 week or less schedules in order to remain clients of Catty Canines. Groomer may require the pet on a more frequent schedule and then this would be required to be followed to maintain client list.

  • Catty Canines Inc reserves the right to refuse service for any reason. This includes pets we no longer feel can safely be groomed due to health, age and behaviour.

  • Catty Canines Inc has the right to refuse specific requests for grooming a pet if the groomer feels it is not an appropriate service to best suit the pets needs and comfort.

  • All dogs are required to be on leash when entering the salon and all cats must be safely within their individual crates.

  • Any pets who come into the salon and bugs (fleas, lice or ticks) are found, the groom ends and the pet will be send home and charged full price for the groom. Rebooked appointments will be recharged at full price. We highly recommend all pets be placed on prevention year around as there is no point in which all bugs die.

  • Drop offs for appointments must be at the scheduled appointment time. Any more than 15 minutes late is considered a no show and will be required to rebook and pay a 50% charge.

  • Pickups must be made within 30 mins of call of completion.

  • Cancellation and rescheduling of an appointment, by the client, requires 24 hours notice to waive the FULL appointment fee. 50% of the grooming fee will be charged for any appointments not cancelled within 24 hours of a scheduled appoinment. Appointments must be cancelled within business hours. (ex. Tuesday appointments must be cancelled no later than the prior Saturday at 3pm). Messages will not be checked over days the salon is closed.

  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a groom if we feel the need to do so. Every effort will be made to reschedule at a time convenient for both the client and the groomer.   

  • It is considered a "no-show" when the client is not available at the scheduled appointment time and does not contact the groomer to cancel or reschedule.

  • We reserve the right to charge the FULL grooming fee due to the loss of revenue caused by a "no-show". Please make every effort to call and cancel or reschedule when possible to avoid such situations.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet or client for any reason.
